A scent, then nothing
Off-leash in an open field, he catches something and is out of sight before you finish calling.
Live tracking + on-collar contact screen
Two ways home. You see where he is in the app — and whoever picks him up reads your contact details straight off the collar screen.
Owners describe the same handful of moments. None of them involve a slow, careful escape.
Off-leash in an open field, he catches something and is out of sight before you finish calling.
He's at the sitter's, or with family for the weekend, and the gate gets left open while you're away.
He's found within the hour — but the person holding him has no way to reach you, and no scanner for a microchip.
Most trackers cover the first one. This collar carries both.

When you’re the one looking
The module carries its own SIM, so it reports position over the mobile network rather than waiting for a phone to walk past. Close in, one tap makes the collar beep and flash blue so you can find him in a hedge in the dark.
Position depends on mobile coverage and sky view. In a dead spot it holds the last reported point until it reconnects.

When someone else finds him first
Type up to 48 characters in the app — a phone number, a name, both — and the collar’s screen shows it. No scanner, no app, no engraving appointment. Anyone who can read can call you.
English letters and numbers only. Change the text any time from the app.
Satellite fix outdoors — the mode that matters in fields, woods and on the road.
Reads nearby networks to place him indoors and between buildings, where satellites struggle.
Falls back to mobile masts for a rough area when the other two can’t lock on.
Draw a zone round the house or the yard. The app notifies you when he leaves it.
The same motion sensor that tracks his walk logs what he does with the other twenty-three hours: steps, distance covered, active time, rest time and an estimate of calories burned, plotted across 24 hours.
These are sensor estimates. Read them as a trend — a dog resting far more than usual is worth a look — not as a clinical measurement.

Measure round the neck where a collar sits, leave two fingers of slack, and compare with the band length below.
The module is a 9 cm block. On a very small dog it will sit as a noticeable weight at the throat — worth picturing before you order.
The SIM is in the box and the first year of service is included with the collar. Nothing to arrange at checkout.
After that, the SIM is topped up at €12 a year directly in the TUYA app — the same app you use to activate the collar. No second account, no separate contract.
Cellular positioning pauses if the SIM is left unrenewed, and resumes once it is topped up.
Most people weighing this up already have a microchip, or are considering a Bluetooth tag. Here is where each one actually stands.
| This collar | Bluetooth tag | Microchip only | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shows a live position | Yes, over its own SIM | Only when another phone in the network passes close by | No |
| Works in empty countryside | Where there is mobile coverage | Poorly — it depends on crowds | Not applicable |
| A finder can contact you | Reads your details off the screen | Not unless you add a written tag | Only via a vet or shelter scanner |
| Ongoing cost | First year included, then €12 a year | None, plus battery swaps | None after registration |
| Needs charging | Yes, over USB | Coin cell, replaced occasionally | Never |
A microchip is still required by law in much of Europe. This sits alongside it, it does not replace it.

IP66 covers heavy jets of water from any direction. Wading and rain are fine. Swimming and diving are not what the rating certifies.

He went after a hare and was gone. Opened the app on the way to the car, he was two fields over by the stream. Had him back in twenty minutes.

The screen is the bit I didn't expect to care about. A neighbour found him before I'd even noticed the gate, read my number off the collar and rang me.

Setup was about ten minutes in the app. Safe-area alert pings the second she's past the drive. Battery does four or five days with tracking on, so it charges every Sunday.

Whole winter of mud and getting hosed off in the yard, no issues. I don't let her swim in it — the listing says not to and I took that seriously.

For small dogs: on our cocker the module is noticeable, it sits forward on her throat. She was used to it in a few days but measure first, the numbers on the page are right.

Me, my partner and the dog walker all have access, so whoever has him sees the map. Under thick trees it lags a bit then catches up. Fine for what we need.

The SIM card is supplied with the collar and the first year of service is included in the purchase — there is nothing extra to pay at checkout. Once that year is up, you top the SIM up for €12 a year from within the TUYA app, the same app you use to activate the collar and track your dog. Cellular positioning pauses while the SIM is unrenewed and resumes as soon as it is topped up.
Shipping is free worldwide. Orders are processed within 1 working day and arrive in 10 to 14 working days. If it is not right for your dog, you have 30 days from delivery to return it.
No. The module has its own SIM and reports independently of your phone. Your phone only runs the app.
The TUYA app, listed as a pet locator device. It runs on iOS and Android, and more than one person can be given access to the same pet.
It is rated IP66, which certifies it against powerful jets of water — rain, mud, a hose-down. That rating does not cover immersion, so we would not send him swimming or diving in it.
The band is 70 cm and punched along its length, so it adjusts down a long way. The module itself is 9 × 3.5 × 2 cm and does not shrink, so on a very small dog it is a noticeable block at the throat.
It reports the last position it managed to send and updates again once it reconnects. In a genuine dead spot, no tracker with a SIM will show live movement.
Up to 48 characters, English letters and numbers — most people use a phone number, or a name and a number. You can change it from the app whenever you like.
€89,99 instead of €112,49, with the SIM in the box and the first year of service included. Free shipping in 10 to 14 working days, 30 days to return it.
